INFORMATION:​

 This is a recreational Youth Volleyball League that began 4 years ago.  The quality of play has grown over the years and we have had teams from outside of Fort Wayne also participate.  Another reason for the quick  growth is that we have quality  coaches that typically are on staff with Impact VBC.  Additional coaches are often local college players, top local high school players along with high school and middle school coaches. We feel that it is important to have adults run the league and give direction to the program.  We also feel that it is equally important for the participants to have people they can look up to as role models.  This is why we involve the top high school players with the coaching aspects of the program.

HOW IT WORKS:

 Each Team/Group will have two 90 minute practices during the first two weeks and then the 90 minutes of competitive match play the last three weeks.  Practices will consist of 10-15 minutes conditioning and 45 minutes of skill work along with 20-30 minutes of controlled scrimmages.

 REGISTER 1 OF 3 WAYS:

 1.) Team Registration - Bring 8-10 girls as a team and Coach.

          2.) Group Registration - Bring a group of players and we will assign a coach.

 3.)  Individual Registration - Register as an individual.

LEVELS OF PLAY

​

Cost: $175/player

Length of Season: 5 weeks including tournament date

Divisions: Beginner and Intermediate

Ages: 8-14 year olds

Deadline to Register: November 3rd, 2020 (must call for late registration)

PRACTICES & PLAY DATES:

​

Practices start the week of November 11th 

Pick Practice day of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

​

Competitive Play Dates are:

 

Teams will have competitive team play on Saturday Mornings at 9:00am or later at Turnstone.

Saturday December 5th   - 9:00-10:30 or 10:30-12:00

Saturday December 12th  - 9:00-10:30 or 10:30-12:00

Saturday December 19th - 9:00-10:30 or 10:30-12:00

LEAGUE RULES:

 

- If players miss first serve they only get one second chance to get next one in.

- Players can serve from anywhere in the court on first two serves.

- Once they get first two serves over they need to move back to end line.

- Max serves for one player is 5. 

- If you reach max serves, your team rotates and the next player in order serves for your team.

- Games are on a time limit to 15 minutes or 21 points whichever comes first.
